After two years and a half, the inLane project, funded by the European GNSS Agency (GSA) and coordinated by Vicomtech as part of a consortium of 10 companies spread over Europe, has recently been declared completed upon fully developing a low-cost, lane-level, precise turn-by-turn navigation application through the fusion of EGNSS and Computer Vision Technology.
This technology uses real-time positioning data retrieved from the EGNOS Data Access Service (EDAS) to compute an enhanced position solution that, combined with additional techniques for geolocalization, attitude characterization and dynamic software in-the-loop data computation among others, provides a higher level of reliability that enables navigation to be brought to a new level of detail and effectiveness.
