HPE & HDOP EVOLUTION

The Horizontal Position Error (HPE) is the difference between the measurement-based estimated position by a receiver and its true position, calculated in the horizontal plane.
The Dilution of Precision (DOP) is a metric used in satellite navigation to measure the error in the position solution obtained by a receiver due to the geometry of the satellites in view. In particular, the Horizontal DOP (HDOP) accounts for the error in the horizontal plane. The figures show the daily evolution of the HPE and HDOP computed with the measurements registered by the RIMS.
